The guitar with its wealth of colours and tones, and the clarinet with its great dynamic potential - together they provide delicate and varied chamber music. Swedish Duo Dialog, comprising clarinettist Dan Larsson and guitarist Magnus Gronlund, are unmatched in their development of the repertoire for both instruments. Their new CD "Duo Dialog" from Caprice Records contains new music by Swedish composers, either commissioned especially for this recording or transcribed for Duo Dialog, all testifying to the obvious inspiration that this particular combination of instruments has given to the composers involved. The composers represented on the CD are Ingvar Karkoff, Kent Olofsson, Kristina Forsman, Sven Hagvil and Arne Lothman. Dan Larsson and Magnus Gronlund started to play together as students. Today, the critically acclaimed Duo Dialog has performed many well-received concerts at Swedish chamber music festivals and in churches. Other examples of the reperoire of Duo Dialog are works from the masters of the Baroque period and onwards, like J S Bach, Telemann, Stravinskij, Poulenc, Piazzolla.
